Okhai Akhigbe or ‘Lean Kid’ is a name that has been creating a buzz both in and outside of the illustration industry as a very unique talent. Born in Nigeria, Lean Kid spent years in Lagos where his penchant for meticulous detail, color and luxury branding continued to build his reputation as one of the hottest young illustrators on the continent. A recent relocation to Alabama where he’s currently pursuing a post graduate degree also expanded his appreciation for varied cultural nuances lending a distinct sense of global relevance and depth to his work.

Primarily fashion focused, Lean KId draws inspiration from haute couture, classic fashion editorials, movies and animations; an aesthetic visible in his work for brands like GT Bank, Hennessy, Lagos Fashion Week, Moet and Chandon, Toju Fayeh and others. Specializing in digital illustrations and creatively, black women and the concept of royalty, Lean Kid has created illustrated look books and branding collateral for fashion houses/brands as well as costume illustrations for films.
